I knew q2. Eveready was my father's favourite torch brand. He had one that holds 5 batteries. In those days' standards(here in my country) it was witchcraft. He would put a pointed bulb in it, and it flashes as far as eye could see. Ideal for hunting.

I think the longest river in Europe is the Volga. Even almighty Google says so.
