One of the Talking Heads on the Food Network offered this tip last night......
The skinny on dishes used for the Microwave.
Most glass and creamic dishes are safe for the microwave, but if you have any doubts, here's an easy way to test it.
Place 1 cup of water in the dish. Microwave on HIGH for one minute. If the water gets hot but the dish remains cool, it's safe. If the dish gets hot as well, then there's a good chance it's not safe- it may contain lead or other metallic substances.
