Jeffrey is on his way to have dinner with me.
This quiche is bursting at the seams.
I followed a recipe on Food.com.
Said use 5 eggs and 3/4c of milk, bake 350 for 45 minutes.
The recipe was kind of nowhere, so I just added my own ingredients.
Spinach, mushrooms, onions, some nutmeg and a cheddar cheese blend.
I took a pic of it, then one of the slices I have plated.
Not eating yet.
I don't like my quiche hot anyway, or even warm for that matter.

Well, This was Dinner...

Meh !
It was not an unpleasant dish, but it missed the mark in a few ways :
There was no heat, or at least not enough to count as "Pao"...
The Cubed Chicken looked more like beef, and was dry & over- cooked...
All the other ingredients, save the "Sauce" (it was broth) the Noodles
and the Peanuts, were practically non-existent...
Price was reasonable... but for a buck or so more, I could have hit the
Chinese Carry-Out, had a great Kung Pao , and would have Leftovers
for Brunch !

Looks okay to me.
That's the thing about buying the ready meals.
You never know what you're going to actually get.

Finally made it to Toledo.
Jeff went with me.
I got the Southwest Shrimp bowl, he got the Sailor's platter.
We also shopped at the big Kroger's, then spent an hour in the huge antique mall.

We stopped at Schlotzsky's too.
I got a new to me sandwich to have tomorrow.
The Beef Smokecheesy.

Meatless Lenten Friday!

This was pretty good - I would definitely get this packet of whole grains again if I could remember where I got it. Might use spinach instead of kale next time, though. Somewhat odd combination of ingredients, but they worked.
