This is excellent!
I've rushed to get some over to work for my friends, but still have lots left for 2 more dinners.
No-Peek beef tips over mash and green beans from the can.

Well, I made a hybrid recipe from Sass's and Homecook's recipes.

1 pound stew meat (manager's special sale)
1 package 1/2 price short ribs (that were starting to get freezer burn)
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can French onion soup
2/3 cup merlot
package of fresh mushrooms
garlic powder
flour

Shook the stew meat and short ribs in a bag with flour. Placed in casserole dish. Seasoned meat with garlic powder and pepper.

Dumped fresh mushrooms on top of meat.

Mixed soups and wine. Poured over meat and mushrooms. Put cover on casserole dish and popped in 300 oven for 3 hours. NO PEEKING!!

Update: The short ribs and gravy were wonderful! The stew beef was too lean and was a bit dry. Will definitely use this technique/recipe again!

Scored four discounted short ribs and made this tonight, adding 2 cloves of garlic. A small sprig of rosemary would have been excellent - next time.

Served mine over a slice of Dave's toast; Dad had egg noodles and green beans.

That looks delicious!
I'm always happy to hear what Dad had too.

And I'm thankful for people who ask for or use a recipe and actually do make it!
Not many do that on cooking forums.
