For Iron Chef 7, the secret ingredient is……..

Chocolate

As with the other ICs, this is a challenge to ourselves. There is no judging, and no winner. We are ALL winners in this since we will all benefit from the creativity and new recipes that this challenge will bring us.

The rules are simple, make any kind of dish you want, in the oven, on the grill, in the smoker, etc. Drink, Appetizer, Main Course, Dessert, etc.

Once your dish is ready, it’s a good idea to make a new post with your recipe. Then post a link and a picture of your recipe to this thread. Alternatively, if you like, post your recipe and pictures here. In the end, we will compile all the results into one thread for easy searching.

Chocolate at the end of june....you are killing me. But, as with just about everything else......I'm IN!
 
I wish I could join this one but my house is all torn up at the moment. Allez cuisine!!! (Maybe we can revisit this ingredient in the future; now, I wouldn't be able to make anything and post a picture.
 
of course its chocolate... i just finished making some yesterday..:yum:

maybe some habanero fudge...who knows..lol

Carp is actually intentional. It’s kind of my call sign for aggravation or a big WOW!

It happened in another thread where I was asking advice about goldfish, which are basically Carp. I meant to type Crap in that thread and typed Carp. It was oddly suiting and it stuck. So now, Carp is a real “Keltin Word”! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Dessert was/is the first thing that comes to mind when you mention chocolate...
I'd consider taking this in a different direction. I just don't want to do a mole sauce. I don't know...I have an idea but it's not savory, it's decidedly sweet.

Anyone else thinking of savory..??? Or are we all thinking of sweet? Or...is it a secret???

of course i was going to try savory.. but who knows

i may even venture into the dark side of bacon with this one..lol
 
I was just flitting around out in the ether and someone mentioned bacon with dark chocolate.

Even saw a rub with chocolate and chipotle...but that's not all that new.

I've got a couple of ideas...

Anyone else leaning towards savoury??
