[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]6 cups flour[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1 cup sugar[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]4 tsp. baking powder[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2 tsp. baking soda[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1/2 lb. sweet butter (two sticks)[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2 Tbsp. shortening[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]4 egg yolks[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1/2 pint sour cream[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1 tsp vanilla[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]pinch salt[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2-1/2 cups ground walnuts[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1/2 cup sugar[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]jam, lekv'ar or apricot[/FONT]

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Directions:[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add shortening and butter; add egg yolks, sour cream [/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]and vanilla. Mix ground nuts and 1/2 c sugar and set aside. Divide dough into three portions. Roll out first as layer as [/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]for pie; place in bottom of pan. Spread with jam, then second layer of dough, nuts and sugar mixture. Roll out third [/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]layer; cut into strips and place on top form of lattice work. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees.[/FONT]​
