Get a 1/2 dozen large DRY sea scallops and sauté..(a few more if you're hungry ) 2. Bag of 'instant' brown rice (10 mins in boiling water) and a 'head' of broccoli. Brake broccoli into pieces, lay out on baking sheet.. Drizzle broccoli with olive oil, salt and pepper and roast in 400* oven for about 1/2 hour. Will have left over rice and broccoli..save for lunch tomorrow..

That sounds wonderful, Dados!

Just curious, how much a pound are large sea scallops in your area? They are between $14 and $16/lb. in the Boston area.

Whereabouts are you?

I'm in the Trenton, NJ.

Dry sea scallops about the same here. I think I paid $16/lb yesterday. That was at an Acme....Glad you enjoyed the suggestions...

P.S./FYI...1/2 dozen enough for one... get at least a pound for 2 people...rest of the dinner enough for two.

I've been trying to eat more brown rice lately, and it's okay, but I still love white rice.

And white bread. :whistling:
