GRANNY'S "SUNDAY BEST" MACARONI SALAD

4 c. cooked macaroni
1 1/2 c. cooked peas (frozen works better than canned)
1 vidalia onion, chopped
4 hard boiled eggs, cubed
1/2 c. chopped green or red pepper
1 1/2 c. cheese, shredded (i use half american, half jack)
1 1/2 c. deli ham, small dice
1/4 c. pickle relish (I sub. 3 TBL. yellow mustard)
1/2 tsp. black pepper
Combine all ingredients and mix well. 1 1/2- 2 cups mayonnaise; stir and
refrigerate.
(I don't use the relish, and I sometimes use equal amounts of sour cream and mayo, rather
than all mayo)
(I sometimes use shrimp in place of the ham)
If you serve in individual salad bowls, dust each serving with a little paprika.
