DW made a bit of a mistake

Mama - The other day when DW was crowing about how the Sox had "swept the series with Tampa Bay" she completely overlooked the fact that last weekend was a four-game series, not a three game series and we didn't sweep it. On the fourth day which was a New England Holiday here, there was the final game and we lost it 1-0 on one very lousy call.
Then yesterday we got positively smeered by the Texas Rangers in a bloody game with the longest eighth inning I've ever seen! It just went on forever with Texas making run after run to clobber the poor worn-out Red Sox so badly. Hopefully we'll recover from this beating long before next weekend when we meet the New York Yankees for a series in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the opening of Fenway Park. It promises to be an exciting weekend which we'll hopefully "sweep" to DW's delight! To quote our favorite Georgian, "Y'all Come!"

The Braves nemesis (The Mets) are in town for one more day. Hopefully the Braves will take the rubber game this afternoon.
