1 pound hot smoked sausage (Sliced into 1/2-inch slices)
1 TBS olive oil
1 (16-ounce) package tortellini
3 TBS butter
2 tsp flour
1-1/3 cups half-and-half
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain. Spoon into greased casserole dish.
Brown sausage in olive oil. Drain and set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour. Blend for 2 minutes. Slowly add half-and-half. Heat until mixture begins to thicken. Add seasonings and nutmeg. Add 1/4 cup combined cheeses to
mixture. Add sausage. Pour mixture over pasta. Sprinkle remaining cheese mixture over sauce.
Broil at 425 degrees until mixture is browned slightly.
