Ordering Food Products Online

Wasn't sure where to post this.

I recently placed an order online for a turkey dinner (as I'm not up to doing the whole meal this year). It consisted of a turkey breast & a few sides. The package arrived, & the ice was half melted. Can't tell if the company shipped a turkey breast or ham, as the package was flat. I could see there was bloody liquid in the bag & the sides were in jars & liquid/defrosted. I called the company & told them I dumped it, & sending/mailing food products out that are not packed/shipped correctly can cause serious problems. They offered a replacement, & I declined. They said a refund would take two weeks on my credit card.

In summation, be careful, & if doesn't look right - throw it out.

I've done that a couple of times. Actually it was pretty darn good and all I had to do was reheat. Saved a lot of time and effort.

:wow: That doesn't sound good at all. I would have dumped it also. As Breezy said most supermarkets are doing holiday meals. Most have shopping online and delivery. Our stores also allow you to pick the delivery day and time.
