Lol Jimmy, about the beans.
The only place I can find Heinz beans is at Meijer grocery store, in the International aisle of British foods section.
I love the flavour.
Nothing like other plain old baked beans.
By the way, an hour after I ate that plate of food, I had a Hostess Sno Ball.
Pink!
:)

That soup looks incredible, Jimmy!

I think Peep makes hers like that, too.

Breakfast was coffee yogurt.
Lunch today was sirloin steak sandwich on buttered baguette.

I ordered a new spice blend from The Spice House that I just love:

Back of the Yards Garlic Pepper Butcher's Rub

This garlic pepper seasoning is hand mixed from: Tellicherry black pepper, garlic, Kosher flake salt, sugar, red bell peppers, shallots, parsley.

I used some of the above rub, smoked paprika and my house seasoning blend. It was wonderful.

Breakfast was an oat and honey granola bar and coffee.

-Lunch was the small apple pecan chicken salad from Wendy's.

Probably gouda burgers and a hot veg blend for dinner.
Maybe a cold tomato and radish salad too. I'm craving the vegs!

Me too Peeps.
They'll probably be a regular work break meal.

I said no dessert tonight.
Hmmm maybe this later.
Our neighbour George brought us fry pies from the fair.

Dinner was Greek meatballs with lamb and beef with tzatziki, and homemade pita, plus spanikopita made with homemade phyllo. That was fun! We were also supposed to have dolmades and saganaki, but our water was turned off in middle of dinner prep because of a broken pipe in neighboorhood so those didn't happen.

Tonight was fried breaded pork cutlets. Applesauce on the side.
Uncle Ben's Veggie rice. A bowl of tomato wedges, garlic and oil, and vinegar with fresh Greek Oregano from the garden.
Frozen Ice cream cone for dessert.

Spectacular, medtran!!!

Karen, when you have time, would you please post the recipe for the meatballs, at least?

I would ask for the spanakopita recipe, too, but I doubt I'll ever make homemade phyllo.

Very impressive meal!

Thanks,

Lee

i'm on hummus- that is my food-crack--
Hummus is Good....

I found one in the fridge the other day, and started eating it, till DW pointed out that there were some green areas. Didn't taste bad. I threw it out for the squirrels to eat.

Mommy Tina Baby had a birthday today.
She wanted Daddy Poops Pizza Pie.:blowcandle:

DS and DIL picked up a cannoli cake at Weis Markets. The side of the cake was crushed cannoli tubes.... yuck! Stale like chipped cardboard.

I've no clue what's for dinner tonight.
The Bulldogs are in town this evening playing football.
My eldest son is coming up for the game, so he and I may go get a bite before.

Part of my post got erased. Dinner last night was dolmades,
Saganaki, more fresh pita, and last of Greek meatballs. Pic of dolmades in pan. Tomato slices were used as a rack and cooking liquid was water, olive oil, lemon juice and garlic slices. Dolmades were so much better than what we've ever had out. None of that vinegar/citric acid taste. Of course, taking the time to do 2 hot water soaks and 2 cold water soaks to get the brine taste out of the leaves is probably not something most places would be willing to do.

I'll post the meatball recipe soon.

I am drooling! Look at all those paper-thin slices of garlic in there!

I'll be right down!
