The wind is still roaring.
I'm packing myself a chicken salad today on Sara Lee artesano bread.
Probably a yogurt too.

As soon as I get home, crab cakes are going to be made.

pecan-acorn squash. what could go wrong?
slather with (equal parts by volume) balsamic + olive oil + honey
bake in the oven, flip mid-way
last five minutes, re-slather and add chopped pecans to toast.
first cut polar then equator slices
well, after the flip, the acorn surface skinned over and there would be no more marinade adhering . . .
cute idea on paper, did not work out to expectations.
oh, use foil - the baking of dripped honey syrups is very messy.....

Spaghetti..... P e r i o d .
Just like when growing up, it was the pot of spaghetti in the middle of the table, and digging it out till it was gone.
No napkins. Just the old dish towel that we all shared. Mom and dad drank wine, and Brother and I drank Kool Aid or Water.

Forgot to mention the Terrycloth Spaghetti Tablecloth. It was a checkered yellow one that was stained with tomato stains, but it was clean... Mom put it down when we had spaghetti sauce or tomato foods. It NEVER was out when company came for dinner.

Lee, I must say they were great. 8 of them cost $72.00.
A lot of grease, but that's what adds to the flavor. We didn't use the grease.
That got trashed.
I'm making shell pasta with Italian sausage for dinner tonight.
