All this soup talk has me ready to make slow cooker recipes for freezing.
I too would be interested in the turkey and rice soup recipe, I've got my chili planned for the not so distant future too.
I have 2 turkey breasts in the freezer. Both freebies from ShopRite. I was planning to do one in my stove top smoker. So Karen's soup would be wonderful.

And I wound up having about maybe 6 soup spoons of bean with bacon soup for dinner.
I didn't know they came in containers like that.
I know they make it with broccoli. It's good.

I know they have whole smoked turkey legs at the store, I'd probably use that and or leftover turkey that I plan on making soon.

As for today, I'm going to be working- same tomorrow. Not sure what dinner will be.

If I were to buy smoked turkey I think I would get the smoked wings. I've used them before and we liked them.

I'm hoping to make the stew or pot roast tonight.

I just searched the brands of both turkey legs and wings available at Walmart grocery and Chief supermarket.
These.

I'd probably go with the wings.
I can't stand super salty anything.

Just use unsalted broth and then taste at the end of cooking time. I'll post the recipe tomorrow. We've made this on and off for years ever since Craig started smoking turkeys.
