These go FAST so make a double batch!
16 large white mushrooms
2 cloves garlic minced
1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/2 cup chopped sweet onion ( I like Walla Walla)
1/4 cup butter ( real)
1/2 cup bread crumbs ( I use garlic flavored)
1/2 cup bacon ( I use thick center cut bacon with the fat removed)
Preheat oven to 350
Clean your mushrooms and remove and chop up the stems
Saute the stems, garlic and onions in the butter just until they are nice and soft but not brown.
Remove from heat and add the bread crumbs and cheese. Mix really well.
Brown your bacon and then crumble it or cut it into nice little dices.
At this point you can either... mix the bacon in with the mixture and fill your caps or... fill your caps and sprinkle your bacon on top.
Either way... fill em up... top with some more cheese if you'd like and then bake for 10 minutes.
