As another ship departs our river to become part of our surface combatants. I present to you all DDG-108 sailing away from the river where she was built.

I looked around a little. It is interesting that the ship already has it's own website and is on twitter.

DDG-109

No website or twitter yet for DDG-109, but it is on Wikipedia. I see you are also building DDG-111 and it's keel was laid in may this year. It must be really nice to see them built and actually go out on one.

Nice. I like these kinds of pics that aren't "file photos".
Some one from work was at Fort Popham taking pictures as the ship went by. They also fire a cannon as the ship goes by as a salute.

This is Fort Popham and Popham Beach in Phipsburg Maine. The residents of Phipsburg call them selves Burgers.
