Here is a picture of the choclate cake I baked for my youngest for his birthday. First cake, I've baked for a very long time - DW is the baker.

I don't do a lot of baking either, but it can be a lot of fun every once in a while. I'll just bet that your son loved that cake, very colorful and DAD baked it.

He did & eldest had a sulk because his had been a store bought one - so had to promise to bake one next year.
