1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork
3 medium potato
1 large onion, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 dash ground allspice
1/2 - 1 cup beef broth
1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust deep dish pie (i use frozen)
1 egg - beaten
-Boil the potatoes until fork tender... let cool - once cool, mash slightly.
- Cook the meat with the onions, spices until pink is gone, add beef broth and simmer for about 20 minutes.
- stir in the potatoes at the 15 minute mark and cook for another 5 minutes.
let mixture cool.
once cool, add to pie crust, brush with egg wash.
cook at 350 until golden brown.
