I was making a holiday menu and shopping list (Good Friday & Easter). But not sure I will be able to get what I need.

Everyone is talking about Easter BUT what about people who observe Passover? Will they be able to have what they need?

Great idea, Chowder! Nuke it a bit and hit it with a squirt of ketchup and I'm all over that!

Med, how of a PITA is it to make pita?

I watched a Cook's Country episode the other day when they were making it, and it looked like a lot of work. Is it?

Nope not at all. A little more work than flat bread, but very little. I just posted a recipe for 2 kinds on another forum actually, 1 with yogurt, 1 without. Homemade pita is so much better than store bought, unless of course you have a middle eastern market that makes their own in a coal/wood fired oven.

Our favorite little hole in the wall Steakhouse was closed for awhile.
"Steve's Sizzling Steaks - Steaks sizzling in house sauce are the specialty at this rustic American roadhouse dating to 1936."
But now is open for take out!!:applause:YAAAAAAAAAY!! I was so worried. Hopefully this won't hurt them to much. I would hate to lose this little place.

We REALLY need to support these little businesses if possible at this time.

DD and I ordered take-out - 1 (14 oz.) NY strip (a perfect medium), fries, salad and a side of mushrooms to share last night.

Jimmy, I like that!
I'm planning on making noodles and cabbage this week.

Peeps, I hope part of your not feeling well isn't because of anxiety about this virus.

I'm working today, so I'll eat there.

We had pork schnitzel, noodles and gravy, plus cranberry applesauce. Supposed to have green beans, but didn't get made.

DD#2 helped me make dinner. I actually I prepped and told her how to cook it. I pulled out beef cut small for soup instead of large chunks. So the beef kind of disappeared into the sauce. But it was tasty.

Beef stroganoff over buttered egg noodles and side of green beans.

chicken soup and bologna sandwiches today.
Jello and and and Lemon chiffon p i e

Jimmy, I used to love bologna sandwiches, but haven't had one in way over 10 years, since I can't find any that tastes as good as the stuff I grew up on.

What brand do you buy?

Monday night I had baked chicken wings with an artichoke and a new dipping sauce recipe I wanted to try (mayo, soy sauce, lemon juice, chives). It was good, but melted butter with garlic and lemon is better.

Tonight I had a cheese steak sandwich with NYTimes bread. Since I'm only one person, and carb-conscious, a loaf of bread lasts me forever.

Right now I'm planning brats in a blanket.
I've got Johnsonville smoked brats and a blue can of crescents.
It's going to make 6, with two crescents leftover.
I'll see if Jules wants to stop by after she's off work to share with her and her son Brett.
Sides will probably be corn and a tomato/onion salad.
