7.5 inches of rain & still counting

We got hammered. They still haven't figured out when it will stop.

We got about 3" here. Just about 30 miles northeast, they got 10".

Crazy weather we're having! This time last year, many places were plagued with drought and this year it simply won't stop raining! We got around 3 inches so far and according to the news it isn't meant to stop much before Thursday or so. Yikes! Maine has 8 to 10 inches and Quincy, MA is under water by a matter of "feet". Tomorrow, Newburyport, Gloucester and Scituate are all due to be flooded. That means that Plum Island will probably get drowned. Unreal!

We have hosepipe bans around here - it started raining the day after they were put into effect and has hardly stopped since but its spring so the water is not filling the reservoirs so the bans stay in place!
