Sweet Kimchee!!
Congrats on the new kitchen member.
May your meals be lovely, your water boil fast (and it will LOL) and your time with the stove last for years to come.
Nothing compares to cooking with gas!

Two 17K btu power burners, one simmer burner
and that lovely center oval one... I will be buying
a cast iron grill pan soon... very soon!
The front right burner has been named "Wok", hahaha.
Interestingly, it has a gas oven too... until recently, it
seems that gas stoves generally had electric ovens. But
when I was doing my shopping, gas and gas was the norm.
The installer said that it's because of the electronic ignitors..
no more pilot lights to go out and let the oven fill with gas.

I was going to replace the electric cooktop with a gas one, but
my gosh, they are expensive once you get past the basics.
For an equivalent cooktop, I would have paid about $150 more
than the range cost.
It also let me take out the wall oven, which added 3 feet to the
counters to the right of my sink.. before, there was only 11 inches
of counter space. Not a lot of dirty dish piling space.
Course, now I have a dishwasher too, so..... :)

Tomorrow, I lay vinyl click and lock tile in the kitchen, then we
wait for the counters. Right now, I have lovely plywood and some
pieces I salvaged from the old counters. Works and worth the wait.

Me? happy? what gave you that idea? my babbling on and on????
hahahahaha

Super nice stove, sure wish we had gas supply where we live. Have had nothing but electric for the last 30 something years. You gonna be in heaven with that beauty. CF:smile:

Haha, life is balanced....
Coooking with gas inside, used to cook with gas
outside, but switched my grill to charcoal.

Which I now MUCH prefer.

Nice range. I switched to gas a couple of years ago. I wish I had the oval gas ring. My C double burner has hot and cold spots. The oval will prevent that.

Like you, I wondered why a complete gas range with an oven sells for less than a cooktop. In my kitchen there is no way to use a freestanding range.

Congratulations, sounds like a whole new kitchen! I'd like to have gas too, but that's probably never going to happen :(.
