luvs, your plate is beautiful. Glad you enjoyed your meal and that you are getting back into the cooking mood.

I couldn't get on the site yesterday so I'm posting that picture first. This is a spicy creole chicken and shrimp dish over rice.

Tonight, I made marinated and grilled flank steak, a baked sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar, and spinach.

The grilled flank...A winner. Nice job

Sweet and sour pork and jasmine rice

peep...you did it again.. The flavors just waft out of the picture.
The snap of the veggies, and the succulent squeeze of the meat between the teeth..Ummmmmmm! Delcious LQQKing.

Very funny, Vera - the carpenter's children never have any shoes! But I'm sure you must get weary of cooking at some point...

Two lovely meals, Nancy! Lucky people who get to eat such food! I hope they appreciate you.
Thank you Karen. My husband is always appreciative. He says thank you after each and every meal - 3 times a day. Makes me want to keep cooking for him. *smile*
Thank you Karen. I added some orange marmalade to the sauce this time and it was YUMMY!
Now that's a stroke of genius right there. Wow!
nancy, peeps, i appreciate that! lovely dinners, yourselves~
Thank you luvs.
luvs, Nancy and Peeps all your dinners looks delicious! Wonderful plating too!

I made chicken/shrimp stir fry over Chinese noodles.
Thank you homecook.
What a great looking dish! Yummy!

And speaking of french fries - I'm with Peep. I'll take mine with gravy and ketchup. Or chili cheese. Or just plain ketchup. Or plain. Just gimme!

Oh, I just love it when you guys post pictures of your yummy meals. It's so much fun to drool. I love your stir fry, Barb - especially those little corns. They are so much fun to eat and always remind of Tom Hanks in "Big". And LS - I can completely understand eating french fries for dinner. Our Canadian friends here in Mexico long for "poutine" - which is french fries, fresh cheese curds and gravy! Can't get fresh cheese curds here anywhere, so they just pine away for it!

I created a new recipe, which I cobbled together out of several that I looked at online. I didn't want to spend $14 for some imported curry paste, so I made my own, and I used some lovely fresh coconut milk to make Thai Shrimp. I wrote out the recipe as I went, and already posted it. It was absolutely delicious, if I do say so myself.

Later - Mama's Praline Banana Cake....

Oh, that watermelon was SO good - it was one of those little seedless ones, and I bought it at Costco, 2 to a bag. Sweet and cold...yum.

Oh my goodness everything looks so incredible! I haven’t been cooking a lot lately. Today was spent in Birmingham at Children’s Hospital. My son had to go for some tests. It was the second trip down there to see specialists in a week and we go back again soon. So, we’ve been having sandwiches, soups, salads, mac and cheese, take-out…those sorts of things lately.

I do drop in from time to time though when I have a chance to sit and drool over all of these amazing dishes! Everything is beautiful as usual. My mouth is watering! I want a little of everything please.

Thanks Karen and Peeps. We're not sure what's going on yet. He's always had different health issues stemming from his prematurity. In the past 3 weeks to a month though, his pain has picked up and he's having some trouble swallowing. His food gets "caught" in his throat. It can be a little frightening. Thank you both for your thoughts. It means alot.

Karen - my husband would love your Thai shrimp. I copied and pasted the recipe for future use! Peeps - I want that Pork right now....Jimmy - my kids would make that pizza disappear in 5 minutes flat. :)

Nice dinners were made today.
Jing Fong is closed now for renovation, which I didn't know.
So it was pizza. 2 16" ones, devoured by 13 people.
