Weighted blankets

Another off-topic topic.

I'm considering getting a weighted blanket, as I've heard that people "sleep like babies" under them.

I toss my comforter on and off all night, and I'm concerned that a weighted blanket will be too hot.

Anyone try one?

I've heard about them and even talked about getting one with one of the gals at work.
She's definitely in the market for one.
They're not supposed to be too hot, just comfy.
I think Marshall's has them around here.

I got one for my wife. It had glass beads in it so that it was heavy but not hot.

Doc, do you know how much her blanket weighs? I've seen a range of 15 lbs. to 20 lbs.

Does she like it?

I went to heavy for her. 20 pounds. Sleeping with it was okay. She liked it but she still had trouble sleeping in in the morning and the blanket did not help with that, which was the main reason I got it.

One of our grand daughters tried it and loved it so she gave it to her. We have talked of getting her a 10 pound one but I'll let her decide if she wants to try a lighter one. Neither of us think it would help with her sleep issue.

Good luck Lee. Seems worth a shot.
