New Game - Name a odd named place - non-food related

Saw this one on another forum

The idea is to name a place that actually exists with a name that could be considered odd. It does not have to be a town, it could be a state, city, apartment complex, military base . . . . whatever . . . but the idea is it needs to be a real place with an odd name. There also should be some type of proof that it exists such as a map, picture or website.

Examples would be Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Telephone, Texas, Telegraph Texas . . . etc . . .

There's even a Kermit Texas!

can you call people from paris parisites?


a town that we pass when we ski in the poconos is called analomink.

it's pronounced annah-lo-mink, but most people like to jokingly call it anal - o - mink.

The Shit River, Olongapo, Philippines. Okay, it's the military personnel who named it but it's the only name we know. Google it - you'll see.... :yum:

(Spent couple hours one college evening trying to liberate the town sign for our dorm room.... No go. Town had been there, done that and had taken steps to discourage such behavior, sigh)
