Lightbulb Edible Gold

I'm planning on experimenting with edible gold this Holiday Season. This is one idea, using edible gold (powder), for New Years' Eve or Holiday munching. (Gold-dusted truffles is another.)

Glitterrazzi Popcorn

12 cups popped Blast Of Butter Microwave Popcorn
1 cup salted mixed nuts
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 package (12 oz.) white vanilla flavored baking chips
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Edible gold powder

Pop popcorn according to package. Pour into large bowl & add nuts and cranberries.

In double boiler melt chips according to package. Pour over popcorn mixture, stir until evenly coated. Spread onto large rimmed baking sheet & sprinkle with cinnamon, stirring to distribute evenly. Cool completely.

Sprinkle with gold powder. Serve in martini glasses. 6 servings

This sounds pretty good. Plus one to where did you get the edible gold?

Thank you for posting.

Wow, a quick Google on "edible gold" turns up a Shopping page with lots of options. Here's a good one for only 35 bucks!

Kewl, Keltin.

Wilton's has edible glitter.

I may try the gold or silver stars on the popcorn - to start.
