Corn Stuffed Peppers

6 med green peppers
1 3/4 tsp salt, divided use
3 c corn
1 c diced fresh tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp minced onion
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
3 tbsp flour
2 tbsp butter, melted

Slice tops from peppers and remove seeds and membranes. Parboil in covered saucepan 5 minutes with 1/2 tsp salt. Drain. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon into cooked peppers. Bake at 375F for 35 minutes.

Can cut peppers in half to make 2 pepper cups from each pepper. Can use bits of pepper trimmed from tops to fill hole in top half of each pepper.
