CRAP !!
It turns out that we’ve been celebrating Independence Day on the wrong date.
While it is true that delegates of the Second Continental Congress adopted
the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 — they didn’t sign it on
that date. Most of them signed it several weeks later on August 2. Happy 2nd
of August! Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it.
