I see you added pearl onions too, Peeps.
Love them!
Yup. Pearl onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, potatoes and there never seems to be enough veggies. LOL

Tonight may be kabobs. Not sure if they will be marinated beef or chicken. Veggies will be orange, yellow red and green bells, onion, mushrooms and small tomatoes.

"Sunday was Hot dogs with tomato and onions over pasta shells."

WOW Peeps !
THX for the nostalgia trip !
That combo was a staple when I was a kid. Haven't thought of it in too many decades !

That, along with a Ground Beef, Baked Bean combo, were two of the first things I made on my own, probably 8 or 9 years old.

Well, I ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp.. and what was supposed to be fire roasted vegs on the side.
They aren't doing those vegs anymore they said, so I settled for loaded garlic mash.
It was good, but they didn't add that sauce on top.
Live and learn when getting take out.
When you get it home you may be surprised!

Thank you Lee. I will be packing some of the veggies for the freezer to use in a pasta primavera in the future.

I have no idea on dinner tonight.
I'd like "brinner".
Possibly omelets, sausages and hash browns?

We're going Asian for dinner. Beef tataki, tenderloin, that has been marinating since last night. Vegetable tempura. A seafood salad, shrimp, conch, and squid, over a bed of grated carrots and seeded sliced cucumbers, with a dressing using kimchi base, honey and a little lime juice.

.

Nice medtran!
I love those plates.
We had a late lunch, so it's going to be a late dinner.
Sugar steaks. Not sure about the sides as yet.

Lunch was tuna salad sandwich

tuna_sandwich_041218_IMG_3986.JPG

Dinner was smoked pork chop, mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts

smoked_chop_sprouts_041218_IMG_3988.JPG

THEN I saw all the beautiful fond in the pan and decided to loosen it up with a bit of water and butter (if I had some coffee it would have been red eye) and had a nice pan gravy.

It’s supposed to be 80 degrees today but I feel like making soup.

I have wing tips, a rotisserie chicken backbone and parsley stems from the freezer. Fresh leek tops, onion (skin on), carrot (skin on), celery, 2 chicken breasts, water and 32 oz. box of chicken stock simmering on the stove.

Now I’m not sure if the soup will be for tonight or tomorrow. DD may not want soup.

Lunch and dinner will be out and about in the Findlay and Bluffton areas.
Myself and a good friend are planning a day of both retail and good eats therapy.
Weather permitting.. it's supposed to rain and be icky for the better part of the day.

Hambone vege soup with fresh bread was last night's dinner. I've made this bread twice now and it hasn't risen very well either time. The first time, something came up and I had to.stick it in fridge so thought it was my fault. Definitely not this time though as I followed directions exactly from start to finish for rising and baking times. It's not the yeast as I let it bloom and it was quite active. Actually, it's not that it doesn't rise, it just falls. Regardless, bread was still good and had a fairly decent crumb anyway.
