Last harvest of the season

What with a possible frost tonight, I harvested the last of the vegs. in my container garden.

I roasted the mini eggplants (Hansel variety) and made Baba Ghanoush.

The tomatoes are ripening in a paper bag.

I'll make ABT's and smoke them this Sunday.

And will steam the Chinese Long Beans for dinner tomorrow night.

I really love my gardens each year!

I've covered my plants with what mom called an old dead sheet. It does protect them from the frost and since it is fabric not plastic the plants can breath and don't get burned. The only problem is remembering to remove the bed sheet the next morning.
