I had a package of cheap hot dogs and a package of cheap hot dog rolls. Just couldn't bring myself to have them the traditional way, so I surfed the net a bit.

Bought a cheap can of (chili with beans) and WA-LA! A delicious guilty pleasure dinner!

Kids would love this. :hotdog:

Tweak as you will!

Chili Hot Dog Casserole

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

1 package hot dogs
1 package hot dog rolls
mustard of your choice
2 cans (2 would have been better!) chili with beans
1 onion, chopped
1 package (2 cups) shredded cheddar cheese

Grease a casserole dish. Tear or cut up the rolls and place them on the bottom of the dish. Top them with cut up hot dogs. Spread mustard over the hot dogs. Sprinkie with onion. Spread chili over all. Sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbling.

Surprisingly great!

Not sure which chunks you're looking at, LT. Some of the white chunks are Vidalia onions, and some are chunked-up hot dog roll.

Hey, great idea! Instead of hot dog rolls, you could put Tater Tots on the bottom of the casserole!
