Stuffed Pasta Shells

1 pound jumbo pasta shells
1 pound mozzarella cheese
1 pound ground beef
1/2 pound bulk Italian sausage
2/3 cup soft bread crumbs
1/2 cup milk
2 T. chopped fresh parsley
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
4 cups Italian Tomato sauce, or your own recipe
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Cook the shells in salted boiling water for 10 minutes. Drain and rinse in
cold water. Preheat oven to 350. Dice half the mozzarella cheese, slice the
rest. In a large skillet,brown the ground beef and sausage and drain off
the grease. Add the bread crumbs, milk, parsley, egg and diced mozzarella
cheese to the meat and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill
the cooked shells with the meat mixture. Place half the tomato sauce in a
shallow 3 quart baking dish. Place the stuffed shells in the dish. Top with
the remaining sauce and the sliced mozzarella. Cover and bake for 30
minutes. Serve with Parmesan cheese. Serves 6

This dish can be frozen if cooked before freezing.
