Crispy Brussels Sprouts with Bacon and Balsamic

Had these for the first time at one of my favorite restaurants this week.

I will have to ask how they make them - they are spectacular! And they really ARE crispy!

Lee when you say they're crispy could they have possibly been put in the deep fryer for a short time maybe after roasting?

could have been "pan only" - here's a shot - these are parboiled then sliced in half, then butter fried - first on the flat, then flipped/tossed. depending on how long/hard/hot you take them in the pan, you can get a char on flats&rounds....

Yes, Guts, I suspect that there is deep-frying involved.

Barb, your Ina Garten recipe is copied and saved - I don't like deep-frying anything (although I love eating that stuff!).

Chowder, I love the looks of your pan-fried sprouts! They look perfect!
