Beef & Beans
1 1/2 lbs. boneless round steak
1 small onion, chopped finely
1 (16-oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 beef bouillon cube, crushed
1 (16-oz.) can kidney beans, drained
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp. chili powder
Mix together garlic, pepper, salt, chili powder, and mustard. Spread garlic mixture on the meat.
Cut the meat into 1/2-in. strips. Heat a little butter or margarine in a large skillet and brown meat.
Add onion, bouillon cube, and tomatoes. Cover and simmer until tender, about 15 minutes. Add
beans, stir, and simmer for about 15 more minutes. Serve over rice.
