I felt bad about not posting photos of the bisquits I made the other day, so being a good sport and hoping to keep with a good tradition I elected to bake some more and post photos this time.
In this case the recipe is not the point of interest, but the functionality of a restored DO. So I purchased some canned bisquits to attempt to use a Dutch Oven as a oven. You don't know how much it irked me when two friends came to visit when I was initially cleaning the DO and they asked "Hey, whatcha' doing with that black stew pot?"
The photos show
the briquettes
Starter chimney
Briquette array on and around the DO
Finished tops and....I'm proud to say, very brown, but unburned bottoms
And, I looked up over the top of the DO and spotted an interloper, Wonder if she likes bisquits more than I like Moose stew?
She startled me!!!
