Finnish malt bread

1 liter (1 quart) of sour milk
75 g (0.16 lb) yeast
3 dl (1 1/4 cups) of syrup
3 dl (1 1/4 cups) malt
3 dl (1 1/4 cups) of wheat bran
3 dl (1 1/4 cups) rye flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 liter (1 quart) flour
Lubrication: molasses and water (mixing ratio: 1/3)

Heat the buttermilk and stir in the yeast, molasses, malt, wheat bran, rye flour, salt and wheat flour. Let the dough rise for 1 ½ hours.
Grease two two-liter (2 quart) bread pan and divide the dough into the molds.
Bake the bread oven at the lowest grates at 175 degrees C / 350 degrees F for 2 hours. When the loaves have been in the oven for 1 ½ hours, baste with syrup-water.
