Tried a bottle of Mott's version of V-8.... and I will never go back!
This stuff is really good! Has a good flavor, with a nice light sweet
bell pepper end note.
It isn't as thick and "grainy" on the tongue as V-8, and is much lower
in sodium too.

I used some in tonight's pasta dinner, and anticipate it being incorporated
into many future sauces!

Kimchee, as I was reading your post, I was drinking my daily glass of low sodium V-8.

I'm now out of it and it's on my shopping list for today, so it's a perfect time to try something new! And I will, on your recommendation!

Thanks!

I didn't realize anyone really had a good alternative to V-8. I always avoid V8 itself because the sodium is so high....although the reduced sodium makes me want to add salt to it, ha.

I bought a bottle of Mott's (low sodium) and don't care for it as a breakfast juice.

Kim, you're right - it isn't as thick as V-8. I'm tasting the celery juice very strongly.

Probably WOULD be good as a sauce additive, though.

Going back to V-8 for breakfast. :)

Thanks for the review - will have to give Mott's a try, although I adore V-8's "Spicy" - really has a great kick. I find the low-sodium versions way too flat & bland. End up having to add salt anyway to make them palatable.

I am a low sodium v8 fan. I usually do a quart at a time. I will give the mortal a whirl.
