Creamy Spinich Dip

1 pkg frozen chopped spinach
2 c light sour cream
1/4 c light mayonnaise
1 pkg dry onion soup mix
1 c chopped red bell pepper
chopped green onion (optional)

Thaw, drain and squeeze out as much liquid as possible from the spinach. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, and soup mix. Add spinach and red petter. Chill 1 hour or overnight to blend flavors. serve with vegetables, bread or crackers. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
