78º F out now. It was hot today but more from the humidity. 81% RH right now.
Calling for rain tomorrow, so grilling will be iffy.
DW said she will make Hamburger Stew with Elbow Macaroni .....

It cooled down drastically.
Supposed to drop into the low 50's tonight. Gee Gee, my kitty, is with me, sitting on the top of the comcast Cable Box; ( it gives off heat ) keeping warmy warmy! Haaaaaaa

I want breakfast this morning, on the back porch.

Moma opened all the windows tonight. Ahhhhh I said. "Airing out the farts huh?"..... She gave me a dirty look, and said, yes, "And Thanks to you!"

Lots of rain here too. River is rising. Major flood and lots of damage. Now I have to wonder about hurricane Florence and what impact it will have. If it sends it's storm aftermath our way, like Katrina did, we will be in a world of hurt.

Snow started at around 1:00 pm.
4" inches on the ground.
DIL supposed to come home from Virginia tonight to Newark. I don't think it's gonna happen.

Got some ice and snow = 1 inch.
It's 33 out. Sun is trying to peek out.

Gotta figure what to make with all the eggs, milk, and bread we picked up after the snow storm panic, and it poof* just blew over.

we had 5'F / -15'C this morning.

the bulk of the storm slipped north so we got lucky with no significant snow accumulation - then it rained pretty decent and melted any of the new snow - didn't even have to clear the drive.

fortunately! the cold didn't get here to turn the rain into ice.

night before I went to bring in the dog - he was curled up on the snow, about 5 feet in front of his house - with about 2" on snow top top of him. he really loves the frigid weather. his coat is incredibly thick now.

it's 7'F now - he does not want in - we have to bribe him with treats....

The ppl in the block away from the city behind us have a husky.
He was out sitting under an evergreen tree napping in the snow.
Environment natural, nothing bothers that dog.
Not even kids walking by from getting off the school bus.
He welcomes the pats and attention.
I'll take a pic of him one day when he's out.
