Paper Coffee Filters vs. "Gold Filters"

I have several gold filters from various pots and I don't use them. I do use unbleached filters (which are sold in bulk in Sams and maybe Costco and in most grocery stores in my area). I have heard the pros of using the brown filter and that is why I started using them, but in reality, I continue to use them for the ease of cleaning. I think it is much easier to throw away a paper filter than beat the grounds out of the gold filter then wash it. I do use the gold filter sometimes to make my coffee with my Keurig pot.
