I've been doing it for years since I saw Alton Brown do it. :thumb:

I use my own basalmic, olive oil, basil, and garlic vinaigrette now.

I've done it a bunch of times, too, and add garlic "croutons" (slices of grilled French bread) to make it more Caesar-ish.

Delicious!

Lee

I found some new croutons that are excellent. Give me a minute and I'll find the package.

I decided I'm too tired to cook and will go out for a burger or fish and chips.

These are J&D's Everything Croutons Made in Seattle so they are probably not available everywhere.

Here are some rib steaks and romaine I did a few years ago.
Thanks for reminding me about this and will do it soon.

When in doubt, go forth to the Chik-n-House.

I finally found a flat iron steak.

Marinated in this marinade:

1/2 C beer
1/2 C Soy Sauce
1 tsp mustard powder
1/4 C Blue Agave
6 cloves garlic minced
1 Tbsp graded ginger root
1 tsp EVOO
1/4 tsp Frank's hot sauce

I marinated two hours. Overnight works better.

It was yum. Flat iron steak is everything Lee said it was.

Looks good!!!

I had lamb vindaloo. The picture is a bit blurry.

I was sitting by a sunny window with rose coloured shades.

Andy, your flat iron looks PERFECT!! Now I want one!

Johnny, when you have a chance, would you please post your recipe for Lamb Vindaloo in a new thread of its own?

TIA!

There is a little Indian place in my neighborhood.
I eat there several times a month. I don't think I've
ever made Indian food.

I've never had a flat iron but will try one soon.
I looked at the commissary the other day and
there were none. I may have to go to a real
meat market.

I can then recommend you try to make a biryani. Its famous food in India and some neighbor countries and easy to make. My friend from Bangladesh teached me to make it. Oh wait, then its a Bangladeshi biryani, not Indian...

Anyways its yummy.

Had Sams club frozen beer batter dipped codfish ....sweet peas, and mashed potatoes.

No dessert.... found out today my A1C was 7.1 . Plus high cholesterol. On meds for that now. Grrrrrrrr!!!...

The strange part, is my blood pressure is normal 126/78. The lowest it has ever been, in years ( 20 ), was 155/87. All of a sudden, it finally dropped. Same medication too!
What the heck is that shtuff??

Tonight is grilled burgers and French fries.
I'm not sure the veg or if I even want one.

I got some nice steaks out of the reduced
freezer section at the commissary so tomorrow
night will be steak night. I'll have a NY Strip and
a club seal for extra. It used to be I could eat 2
steaks but now I'm dreaming.

It was meatloaf tonight.
Had three slices... no bread, no gravy, no spuds.

Then an hour later, I slapped a few slices of salami between a slice of bread, and chewed on that.

Just the way I like it.

The burger needed cheese which I forgot.
and no, I could not bite that burger and
deconstructed it, after I took the picture,
and ate it with a knife and fork. My lower
lip is still too tender to be eating like a
trencherman. The sweet corn was on the
stalk yesterday morning and is so good. I
won't be able to eat ears for another two
weeks or so.
