Slather Sauce for Fish Sandwiches
1 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons dill pickle relish
2 tablespoons minced green cabbage
2 tablespoons minced carrots
1 1/2 teaspoons prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons minced pimiento
2 tablespoons minced yellow onion
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon dry vermouth
Stir or whisk ingredients in a bowl to blend.
Adjust seasonings to taste (minced jalapenos are a nice addition for those who like it hot).
Chill for at least one hour before serving.
