3 cups green tomatoes
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup raisins

Slice tomatoes thinly; salt lightly; let stand while making crust. Mix dry ingredients together, sprinkle some on bottom crust. Put well drained layer of tomatoes in and alternate with sugar mixture. Repeat until all is gone. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice and dot generously with butter. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees, using 400 degrees for first 10 minutes. Reduce heat and finish baking.
1/2 cup of raisins added between layers makes this pie delicious!

Oooo! I haven't seen this green tomato recipe before, lifesaver! Looks easy, too (especially since I will buy the pie crust, lol!).

Copied and saved!

Okay, great - thanks!

I like to try different things with green tomatoes and I've never made a pie before. This sounds easy and good!
