olive oil
butter
tequila
juice from 1 lemon and 1 lime
1 yellow pepper, chopped (or more if you like)
2 or more cloves of garlic, minced
a tbsp or so of salsa
chopped cilantro
couple of shakes of spicy pepper mix
as much shrimp as you like, peeled and deveined
whole wheat pasta

Get the pasta cooking first, or you'll be starting your sauce over when it burns or goes cold waiting for the noodles.

Heat the olive oil in a pan, add some butter and let it melt but don't let it burn. Quantity is up to you, but it should be enough to start a sauce for however much pasta you'll be serving.

Add the chopped pepper and garlic and let them swim around a little.

When they're softened, add the lemon and lime juice, pepper and as much tequila as you like to round out the sauce.

Let the alcohol evaporate and then add the salsa and a handful of chopped cilantro.

Cook a minute or so and then add the shrimp. Pasta should be ready or close to it by now, drain the pasta while the shrimp is cooking.

When the shrimp are cooked, toss everything together and serve.

This recipe is super easy and you can add pretty much anything you want to the sauce -- tomatoes, onions, more garlic, different peppers, etc.
