Help with storebought biscotti

I walked into a supermarket and they wisely had a big display of annisette cookies and biscotti right smack in front of me.

I got a package of almond biscotti, and they are almost SOFT! I like them teeth-breaking hard, so when I dunk them in black coffee, they are perfect.

Do you think I could bake them in my oven to harden them up?

What temp and how long?

That would make them thrice baked or thriscotti--I think you could put them in a 200 degree oven and watch them--it may take a while to get them how you like but if the oven is hotter they will brown and I don't think you want that to happen. You might want to turn them over once, as well.

Thanks, Susan - it's worth a try. It's between and 200 oven and the trash!

Oh, thanks for bumping this up, Onionking!

I did bake the biscotti in a 200 oven for about 20 minutes - they turned out perfectly!

Thanks, Susan!!!
