Hot Date in a Blanket
24 slices bacon
48 pitted dates
Cut each bacon slice in half crosswise. Place bacon on triple-layered paper towel sheets on a microwave-safe platter; cover with another paper towel. Microwave on High 4 minutes.
Fire up the broiler.
Roll up each date in a piece of bacon, place bacon-wrapped dates on on flat oven sheet.
Place in oven 4" below the heat source and broil 2-3 minutes, until bacon
is crisp.
