I know some of you have mentioned these, but since I really only like Macintosh apples, I didn't pay close attention.
However, Macs aren't out yet and, since the supermarket had a good price on small totes of apples, I chose a variety that LOOKED the most like a Mac: Paula Red apples.
They are a natural mutation of the Macintosh (thanks again, Google!) that are harvested earlier.
Very good apple! Sweet, juicy, maybe even a little citrusy.
They will do nicely until my Macs are out.
