CORN CASSEROLE (Tex-Mex)

CORN CASSEROLE

2 TBSP Butter
1 medium Onion (chopped)
1/4 green Bell Pepper (chopped)
2 green Onions (chopped) OPT
1 rib Celery (chopped)
1 can whole Kernel or creamed Corn
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 can Tamales
Chili powder

Sauté seasonings in butter. Add corn and cook slowly for a few
minutes. stirring frequently. Add salt & pepper to taste.
Arrange mixture in alternating layers of corn and tamales.
Sprinkle each layer with chili powder. Bake in a 350 degree oven
until brown.

Hormel makes the "best" of the two or three brands available.........
Paramount has an offering, but not as spicy as advertised.
There's also a "Casa Alta" brand which is okay.........
