Salmon Patties

This is something my mother made all the time during Lent, when we couldn't eat meat on Fridays.

1 lb. can salmon
1 egg, slightly beaten
2 T. onion, finely grated
2 T. flour
2 T. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup fine bread crumbs
3 T. butter
Additional bread crumbs

Do not drain salmon. Flake and combine with remaining ingredients, except the butter and additional bread crumbs. Mix with fork until blended. Shape into patties. Flatten slightly. Dip into additional bread crumbs. Melt butter in frypan. Add patties and brown on both sides.
