i went 2 my beloved bartender 2 try 2 retun the bracelet she gave me. she begged of thee 2 make key-lime graham-crust tarts, & they have key limes @ 'iggle. she requested by thursday, & i said i would see if yinz knew of good recipes?! fellow food friendz, i cannot fail her. have u t/t recipes....... thankx & much luv

My crust is 1.5 c graham cracker, 1/4 c sugar and 4 T butter.

The filling is 2 cans condensed milk, 1 c lime juice, 1/3 c sour cream, 2 eggs.

topping is 1/4 c 10X, 1/2 c sour cream 1/2 c On Top.

Vera's recipe is all you need, luvs. It is perfect. The only change I make is whipped cream on top...I know some cooks use meringue, also, which I don't care for at all.

thanx, karen..... i am none too fond of meringue, myself. find it to be too spongy & some places' meringues weep.
as i was leaving, i said, 'want them tartlets w/ whipped cream on 'em?!' 'nahhhh' she said. i was like, 'my own homemade whipped creme, u sure?' she said well, 'if it's your own homemade, yeahhhh!' :)

Oh luvs, GOTTA have home made whipped cream. Nothing in a can is allowed in this house, and absolutely positively no Cool-Whip. Ever.
