Tonight it's broccoli and cheddar soup from this past summer, frozen, and planned especially for tonight.

I made my cream of turkey soup (turkey, bacon, scallions, long grain and wild rice, broken pimento stuffed green olives, turkey gravy from t-day and turkey stock). I used the bacon fat and a bit of butter to make a roux then added half and half which then got added to the pot. Very tasty.
I still have the turkey carcass and some turkey meat in the freezer for later use.

I went to Famous Dave's for catfish. The Asian sweet sauce is a nice pair with the hot coating of cat.

Tonight I'll grill a club steak and bake a potato.
If I want cake will have to run to Safeway and
buy a pre-cut piece.

Thin boneless pork chop, buttered potatoes, peas and a small salad.
Good nursing home food, usually always tasty.

A morning shopping excursion up North landed me at Panera Bread for lunch.
Steak and white cheddar panini and a bowl of autumn squash soup .
Also bought some of their beautiful bagels, croissants, spreads and cheese pastry for sharing at work over the weekend. :)

THX, Sass !

I use Oven-Fry for Chicken - 3/4
and 1/4 Unseasoned Panko .
I've used seasoned Panko in the past, but that makes the coating really savory....... takes the
attention away from the chop...

I've got these beauties, and a quart of Cacciatori Gravy left over from a few weeks back.... If the sauce survived the freezing, that's that! Otherwise, it's Chicken & dumplings.

Nice legs! I bet that panko pork chop reicpe would work on those.

We had an early dinner at IKEA. The store went corporate and they D/C'd the smorgasbord much to my disappointment.
